Technopole Innovation Centre

Technopole is a very impressive innovation centre over the road from the Reggio Foundation which already houses many business, but which is also still under development. They refer to themselves as a centre for Science, Technologies and Humanities and share the cities vision of people first.

Technopole sets itself apart from other similar science & technology organisations by proudly presenting itself in the light of the Reggio philosophy that people are central to everything. This is particularly significant in the science and technology world of today, where for example in China they have just created a town for engineers (only) in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

In contrast to China and in true Reggio style, Technopole believes in diversity of ideas and people and the richness of the interactions and learning that these enable. Their top priority is to make life better for people as opposed to companies like google and IBM. Technopole wants to make people stronger and more capable to they can so that they have the aptitude to be responsible for the constraints of situations that for example A.I and the quantum computer bring.

Technopole believes in beauty and style and this shines through in their designs.

If you look closely you will see that the new offices are built within the old buildings, with business hubs spaced through out the complex. This is because they value the history of this area of town, which originally employed the majority of its citizens.
